Current fighter of UFC, Josh has over 20 years of martial arts experience. Having first started his journey in Taekwondo as a young boy, Josh has since gone on to have over 100 fights across Jiu Jitsu, Thai Boxing, Pankration and MMA. After an undefeated professional career in MMA on the local scene, Josh still boasts an impressive record of 11-3-1
Igor Praporshchikov
"BIG IGOR"
Igor Praporshchikov is an Olympian and a multiple Australian ADCC submission wrestling and national wrestling champion. He also holds numerous titles in BJJ, Sambo, and Submission Wrestling. He is the wrestling coach to UFC and K-1 stars like Jamie Te Huna and Mark Hunt.
Igor Breakenback
"LITTLE IGOR"
Igor Breakenback is a well-known martial artist and stunt actor. When not fighting on film sets, he regularly teaches his own unique style of MMA to UFC, MMA, BJJ and Thaiboxing Champions. Igor founded I Go Ryu Jiu Jitsu over a 20-plus year competitive period in many different martial arts, and over a thousand fights all over the world.
Besides being undefeated in his MMA career, Igor has coached his students into winning various tournaments regardless of style or rules on a national and international level, proving just how unique I Go Ryu Jiu Jitsu is.
Tai Lee Sang
"TAI"
Tai has oer 30 years of experience in TaeKwon Do, Chinese Kick Boxing, Muay Thai, Boxing, Kyokushin Karate and jiu jitsu. Tai also holds a Certificate III and IV in Fitness and is a Registered exercise professional. Tai has been an instrumental leader in our club, cornering & coaching most of our retired and current competitive team. Tai coaches our weekend jiujitsu and conditioning classes.
FLYNN GALEA
"THE MONKEY"
An active student at Igor MMA, Flynn is our most recent addition to the team. Showcasing intuitive leadership and a friendly demeanor, with a background in gymnastics and an impressive undefeated record in both Jiu-Jitsu and MMA, we’re excited to be nurturing his career at our academy. Flynn plays an integral role in coaching both our kids and adult classes, in addition to offering private lessons.
PERRY SMITH
"COACH"
An active fighter at Igor MMA, Perry is our most recent addition to the coaching team. Showcasing intuitive leadership and a friendly demeanor, with a background in Thaiboxing and an impressive record in both Jiu-Jitsu and MMA, we’re excited to be nurturing his career at our academy. Perry also plays an integral role in coaching both our kids and adult classes, in addition to offering private lessons.
YAKOV PRAPORSHCHIKOV
"BONDI BOY"
Bondi Boy is not his nickname, but Yakov grew up in Bondi and on the Igor MMA Academy mats from day one. He is one of Igor Praporshchikov’s sons that keeps the spirit of martial arts alive for the next generations to come. An active student and fighter at Igor MMA, Yakov has won tournaments in Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, and most recently became the NSW amateur Boxing Champion. Showcasing that he is the next big thing coming out of Igor MMA in the near future, we’re excited to be nurturing his fight career. Yakov is coaching our adult classes, in addition to offering private lessons.
