ABOUT IGOR MMA
THE STORY
Igor MMA was founded in 2004 by Igor Breakenback an undefeated professional mixed martial arts fighter and Hollywood movie Stunt Coordinator, and Igor Praporshchikov an Olympic Wrestler who represented Australia in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. The school was established with the goal of offering a diverse range of expertly taught mixed martial arts in the heart of Bondi Junction.
Our mindset, our value
Our classes are suitable for all skill levels from absolute beginners to high level competitors, and are offered in a safe and friendly environment. We value technique and precision over strength and brute force. Safety is always a priority for our coaches, we use full head gear and mouthguards when engaging in sparring or rolling.
For the little warriors in the family, our Spider Monkey kids program uses a combination of gymnastics, jiujitsu and pad work to build confidence, discipline, and resilience.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live and work, and their Elders past and present. We also respect the history and culture of the Traditional Owners and their ongoing connection to this land.

Since its creation, Igor MMA has been responsible for producing world class athletes including UFC fighters Joshua Culibao, and Jessica Rose-Clark (Jessy Jess), Jiu Jitsu Phenom Jamie Sporne, and has been a second home or fight camp home to many other UFC past and recent athletes like Mark Hunt, James Te Huna, Richard Walsh, Richie Vas, Tyson Pedro, Tai Tuivasa, Jamie Mullarkey, Rob Whitaker, Hector Lombard, Rob Wilkinson, and many others.
