Pencak Silat is a full-body fighting form incorporating weapons, striking, locking, breaking, sweeping, art form and various take-down techniques. Pencak Silat is a traditional style that has over 800 known styles in Indonesia alone and is predominantly found in Indonesia and Malaysia. Grounded in warfare, this traditional style is a ‘no-rules’ martial art, with every part of the body subject to attack. Wirayudha Pencak Silat is a deadly Indonesian style of Silat that combines the most practible, applicable and beautiful forms into one complete style.
Wirayudha Pencak Silat contains several elements including; weapons, sports and competition (striking and take-downs), self-defense, art form and spiritual enlightenment. The striking element includes punches, kicks, elbows and other lightening fast strikes.
Wirayudha Pencak Silat combines stand-up techniques with multiple attacks using all limbs, includes various forms of take down techniques such as tripping, trapping, catching, dropping and sweeping and incorporates standing locks, holds and breaks, rendering the opponent immobile while keeping two feet on the ground. The self defense aspect includes how to defend armed opponents and the use of weapons for life and death situations. This art form also offers techniques to help balance your mind, body and spirit.
